CO Architects
As a Principal at CO Architects, Jonathan Kanda leads strategic planning studies and building projects nationwide for academic medical and higher education clients that are re-envisioning their curricular and pedagogical approaches. He is a nationally recognized specialist and speaker on the innovations in collaborative and active learning environments. Jonathan established and directs COsim, a division within CO Architects dedicated to the planning and design of medical simulation facilities. He also co-founded CO University, the firm’s in-house education program created to encourage firm-wide knowledge-sharing and individual professional development. Jonathan holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UC Berkeley.

Nuri Miller is CO Architects’ Director of Digital Design and Technology and is responsible for the firm’s strategic use of technology to support and enhance the design process. His expertise includes a wide array of design platforms including Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, Digital Project/CATIA, Solidworks, Navisworks and other advanced 3D/BIM solutions, and his experience includes technology positions for Walt Disney Imagineering and Gehry Technologies, where he was responsible for the implementation and interoperability of design technologies with effective custom solutions. A frequent presenter on advanced parametric design and applications of technology for the AEC industry, Nuri holds a Master of Architecture from UCLA and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University.
